We packed our bags, stocked our backpacks with snacks and goodies and games; hugged the dogs and Daddy and headed to the airport for out three week trip to Boston.
I am an expert at flying with babies and children so we were well prepared. And of course as the kids gets older they get easier to fly with. :) Lucky me!
Kids were so excited!
Flying with older children is so much better than lugging strollers, car seats and babies. My favorite part was being able to pay it forward for all the times I have been helped by the kindness of strangers when I got to carry a chubby baby boy onto the plane for a Mom with her hands full :)
This is Supermom speaking... we are ready for take-off!
The girls wanted to sit together in the same seat while we climbed through the clouds.
and when Ryen got scared, big Sister was there for her.
We had snacks, toys and activities to keep us busy and to get us tired out.
We had such a great flight
At sundown we changed into Jammies since it would be dark and bedtime when we landed in Boston.
I never have my camera ready for these moments but the girls ran to Grandpa when they saw him waiting for us at the bottom of the escalator. Ryen was so happy to see him that she didn't even let us talk the entire drive home. It was Grandpa this and Grandpa that every two seconds. It was annoyingly adorable :) When they got to Nana and Grandpa's house we said hello to Nana and Auntie Lori and cousin Olivia for awhile before getting settled in for bed.
We have a very exciting three weeks ahead of us. Stay tuned...
