A lot of people (especially those of you who follow my blog on the East Coast) probably have a hard time picturing what Arizona looks like. Well of course you can hop on a plane and come visit us to find out *hint hint. But many are surprised that their dry, dirt, tumbleweed image of Arizona is shattered when they come to the areas that are actually populated. I remember my friend Mike visiting once and saying "I didn't think there would be so many trees." I always remember that, lol.
This past weekend we took the girls to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. Although it is winter and not as much was in bloom and the butterflies were hibernating, we got some great photos and got to see some beautiful desert landscapes and plants. I hope you enjoy getting to know my crazy kids and Arizona through the following pics!
I also got to practice some photography while there and here are my favorites of those as well.

Great job, I love all the scenic pictures you took and the shadow picture is awesome. I am glad Ella smiled for some because she has a beautiful smile.

I LOVE the botanical gardens. It's so peaceful there. The colors remind me that the desert is truly beautiful.
