Day 16... 15... 14... till Christmas! ;)

So keeping up with this Christmas thing is just as hard as I thought it was going to be, lol. The kids are so busy with school and birthday parties and engagements that sometimes they are just too tired to do anything big. Like last night I wanted to take them to Bass Pro shops but there was NO way. They were both exhausted so we had to settle for watching a Christmas show again. Which I think is pretty lame, but hey at least we did it. :)

So here goes. Day 16...

We gave the girls these new Christmas themed puzzled to fight over (oops I mean play with) ;) They love the peanuts ones but Ryen also loves the snowman one. And it keeps them busy. Easy Peasy Christmas activity.

Day 15...

Ella had a birthday slumber party to go to so she missed out on our festivities. But I am sure she probably had some of her own at the birthday party ;) So Mommy, Daddy, Ryen and the doggies bundled up and took a walk around the neighborhood to look at lights.

Day 14...

Mommy participated in the 12ks of Christmas, a cute little event in Gilbert. This event is going to get pretty big over time. This year they had a large increase in participants (over 2000 runners). Almost everyone dresses up in costumes or Christmas colors/stockings, etc. It is really cute. They even let dogs participate in the run and the dogs were all dressed up too. My friend Lisa and I ran it together. The 12k ended up being about 7.65 miles. We did great. And we looked so cute in our costumes.

Taking pics of our FABULOUS costumes while waiting for the race to start:

This is a shot of some of the runners and other costumes and the Dickens Carolers. They had carolers throughout the route.

Almost there.... and finally finished!

Later we had the kids settle in to watch The Grinch before bed. The Jim Carey movie version. Ella loves it and calls it "The Grouch" like Oscar. Which is so funny cause we all think the Grinch is pretty Grouchy don't we?? ;) Ryen lost interest in the movie and went to watch Dora Christmas for the 10,000th time in 2 days and that was ok with Ella cause she thinks it might be too scary for Ryen anyway. Ryen is not a "big girl like me" she says.
